As a direct result of the committee funding the web site we find ourselves with 1000 Megabytes of storage space. This gives plenty of room for additional photos, programmes, dedicated web pages and now video. For the moment these clips are quite short and the file sizes are LARGE but I hope to get my hands on some software to help edit clips and reduce the file sizes to make more ambitious downloads possible. In the meantime I'll publish as much as I can and give information on file size so that you can decide what to download. If anyone has video clips available for me to publish on the site please send them here (up to 8Mb). Sources can be from camcorders, digital camera or even phones (with or without sound). If I have the happy situation where I have more clips than space to store them I'll rotate the content here regularly. My aim is to be able to publish clips from social events, rehearsals and maybe outtakes (where there are no copyright issues). You'll need Quick Time Player to view some of the videos - you can download it from the official site by clicking on the Quicktime Image below. Have fun!

Joyful Joyful |
NEW!! BROADBAND ONLY! This clip is an excerpt from the 2007 Fund Raiser concert starring our very own Concert Crew. The photo was taken during the interval of this show as the Crew donned their "Mamma Mia" outfits! This will play on a standard Windows Media Player on most PCs (9.5Mb). |

Barbershop |
This is a small clip of the 15 minutes of free entertainment provided by the barbershop group directed by our old MD, Eion Millar, at our 2007 Christmas Night out. The event was at the Schottische Restauant above Babbity Bowster in Blackfriar's Street. 35 Guild members took over the venue and we were bowled over by these spontaneous entertainers! Wooops - Outtake 6 |
When I'm calling you-oo-oo-oo - Back to 1988! Do you remember when the Mounties knocked over that table? Well, this outtake is from the scene immediately following that one. Watch the professionalism of the principal players as two 'extras' appear in the role of 'Health and Safety' personnel!! The clip features James Dinsmore (in the blazer) who is now touring the country with Gary Wilmot in Half-a-Sixpence! This will play on a standard Windows Media Player on most PCs (1.0Mb). |

Wooops - Outtake 5 |
The Bells ... The Bells! - This one is my personal favourite! Again from our Millennium production of "South Pacific", Chairman Les Hooper 'soldiers on' bravely when a sound effect doesn't go according to plan in this outtake from the Dress Rehearsal. See if you can spot rare appearance by Stage Director, Ian Purves! This will play on a standard Windows Media Player on most PCs (1.3Mb). |

Wooops - Outtake 4 |
Prop Management - Watch this outtake from the Dress Rehearsal of our 1997 production of "Calamity Jane" and see if you can spot an impromtu cameo appearance by our Artistic Director, Alasdair Hawthorn! This will play on a standard Windows Media Player on most PCs (0.3Mb). |

Wooops - Outtake 3 |
Mountie Mahem - Back in the dawn of time (when 'video' was a new technology and many of our existing members were not yet BORN) - 1988 - Theatre Guild performed "Rose Marie" in the King's Theatre featuring a rousing chorus of 20 Mounties!! This outtake shows the impressive squad of crimson-clad Mounties showing off their military drill during the Dress Rehearsal ... until they wheel effortlessly into a table! This will play on a standard Windows Media Player on most PCs (0.5Mb). |

Wooops - Outtake 2 |
Enjoy Your Trip - In 2001 Theatre Guild performed a revival of the classic Cole Porter musical "Anything Goes" in the Mitchell Theatre. The performance week was a huge success but, as this outtake shows, the Dress Rehearsal was not flawless! This will play on a standard Windows Media Player on most PCs (0.4Mb). |

Wooops - Outtake 1 |
Musical Madness - Back in 2000, Theatre Guild celebrated the Millennium and their 40th Anniversary by performing "South Pacific" in the Mitchell Theatre. In this outtake (taken from the Dress Rehearsal) all does not go smoothly! This will play on a standard Windows Media Player on most PCs (0.3Mb). |

Happy (40th) Birthday! |
In March 2006, Suzanne Lowe was feeling particularly 'low'. It was the occassion of her 40th Birthday. So Theatre Guild cheered her up with this lyrical tribute to the tune of one of her concert party favourites, "All That Jazz". This will play on a standard Windows Media Player on most PCs (3.8Mb). |

YMCA (2005) |
Another highlight of the Hello, Dolly! After Show Party was an 'impromptu' appearance by "The Guild People" (a little known Village People tribute group). 5 minutes of rehearsal was all it took to produce this quality performance from group members Tony, Jim, John, Cammy and Jon. Clip courtesy of Gill (Speilberg) Gilmour. Sadly, no sound on this one but a 'megamix' version will be available here soon! This will play on a standard Windows Media Player on most PCs (1.0Mb). |

After Show Party (2005) |
Our After Show Party following our run of "Hello, Dolly!" at the RSAMD in September 2005 was a great night out. It doesn't take much to get any Theatre Guild party going - and as if to prove the point when the DJ put on "The Slosh" (normally guaranteed to clear the floor of all but the over 80's) some of our lads just couldn't resist the temptation to hog the dance floor! Karaoke Night (2004) |
The Karaoke night in April 2004 was the first chance for the entire club to socialise following auditions for Oklahoma! Everyone entered into the spirit of the evening but one memorable moment came when two of our newest members persuaded two of their pals to join them at the mike! Click on the picture (left) to see (and hear!) the results from those musical youths! (4.4Mb) |

Vocal Warm Up (2003) |
Julie Ballantyne's vocal warm ups are famous for warming everything from the lungs to the ligaments! In this vintage clip we witness one of the more enjoyable elements of the routine - the "Tongue Twister Sung to Scales"! Click on the picture (left) to see (and hear!) the cast of Sweet Charity twisting their tongues! (1.6Mb) |
