Rachael Hepburn

Rachael Hepburn

Rachael joined the Guild in 2006 for our production of Kiss Me Kate) in the Gilmorehill G12 theatre. Rachael was introduced by Caroline Patterson. Like Caroline, Rachael enjoyed several years with Trinity St. Paul's Junior Players. Principal roles there included Wicked Witch of the West (The Wizard of Oz), Nancy (Oliver!), Angie (Summer Holiday) and most recently Jane (Disco Inferno) - her last show with Trinity as she is now over 18! In 2008 she returned as a 'Dogette' (Melvin Thorpe's evangelical backup singers) in The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas.

Rachael's first EVER performance was aged 7 in a play called "Exodus" where she played both a Slaver and a Slave [hopefully not quite as confusing as it sounds - Ed.]. When not on stage she has busied herself securing a Higher Drama qualification and she has a Saturday job in a local biscuit factory (we can't say which one - unless they sponsor the web site - but I'm sure that working there is as easy as falling off a Caramel Log!!).

Recalling a funny stage moment Rachael says "When I was playing Nancy in "Oliver!" it came to my death scene and I fell dramatically and managed to smack my head off a lamp post - which hurt quite a bit! It also caused me to have a small giggle fit - quite a feat for a dead person!! As if things couldn't get worse the 2 people who where meant to carry me off - forgot! So one person had to drag me off and this caused my skirt to go up round my ears!! Eventually I gave up, stood up and walked off. What was meant to be a tragic death scene turned into the funniest scene in the show!!". (Rachael's secret: She once played a bloke on stage - Dan in "Joseph"!!)
