Lindsay McCourt

Lindsay McCourt

Lindsay joined us in 2007 for our production of The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas. Prior to this she built up experience through school workshops and PACE Theatre Company. Her first performance was as 'Susan' in a High School production of Calamity Jane (aged 14). She followed this with roles including a dancer in Chicago, 'Lucia' in Tally's Blood and workshop roles for "Young Americans" and PACE Summerfest. Lindsay is currently studying Higher Drama and Dance and her next project will be a production of Moulin Rouge.

When not on stage Lindsay is studying for her Higher exams ... or, as she puts it ... "I go to school then I tend to eat and sleep and go on the computer for a little bit then chill out with my mates"!!

We asked Lindsay to tell us a funny theatre story ... in typical style she told us two (read in the style of Vicki Pollard): "[Yeah, but, no, but ...] I seem to have bad luck with shoes! When I did Chicago we had to do the entire show barefoot as some people didn't have jazz shoes and afterwards I went to put them back on ready to go home and realized somebody hade made off with them! So I had to get a piggy back to the car. Also, when I was doing Tally's Blood for my drama exam there weren't enough pairs of shoes and I had to share so every time Caren came offstage we had a mad rush to swap shoes then there was this big delay because I was on straight after her and she forgot I needed them so there I was trying to get her to give them to me as quietly as possible and as quickly as possile. It didn't really work." (Lindsay's secret: This one time, at band camp ...)
