David McCurrach

David McCurrach

David began performing on stage in 2000 when he played the part of Mr. Sowerberry -the undertaker- in a school production of Oliver!. He was clearly bitten by the bug, as he joined Theatre Guild the very next year to play 'Jon', one of the hilarious 'China Men' in our highly successful production of Anything Goes.

David followed this by playing more character roles for the Guild to great acclaim. He played a Crow in our 2002 production of The Wizard of Oz, Marvin / Daddy's Assistant in Sweet Charity and Slim in Oklahoma!. In 2006 David played his largest role for Theatre Guild to date - Bill Calhoun in Kiss Me Kate.

He joined our busy Concert Party in 2004 and plans to continue to be involved. Says David: "... it's too much fun not to!".

Offstage David works part time for a large Pet Store chain. In his own words he "looks after all the cute and fluffy (and in some cases, vicious!) animals. (David's secret: He runs a role play group twice a month!)
