I have been successful in getting the part of Seymour in Little Shop of
Horrors.

I am sooo excited.

It's with the Johnstone Phoenix Theatre Group from 20th April 2010 until
24th April 2010.

We will be auditioning for new members for this years show, Guys and Dolls
on Tuesday 23rd March, 7.30pm at Croftfoot Parish Church, Glasgow!

For the audition you will be required to sing a song of your choice,
musical theatre preferable, but very often, the audition panel may only
hear a short excerpt of the song, maybe a verse and chorus. There will also
be a short piece of movement taught and then you will be asked (in groups)
to try it for yourself. The panel are all lovely so nothing to worry about!

Just a quick note to let you all know that we will be starting this years
rehearsals for Guys and Dolls on Tuesday 6th April at 7.30pm in
Croftfoot!!!

I heard that some of you guys turned up to see EROS doing Guy's and Dolls.
Spotted a few of you at the front row. Was really good of you to come
along. Didn't help with the nerves tho!!! Thanks for the luck Mr Wood!!

NEWSFLASH - Confirmation just in from the Committee that the Guys and Dolls
Show Dates have moved 1 week earlier to "13 - 20 September 2010".

The change has been forced upon us due to a double booking at the venue
which only came to light in the last week. Sincere apologies to all those
affected by this change.

Fortunately we have managed to change bookings for set, costumes,
production team, etc, etc so we are now all systems go for the new
production dates of 13 - 20 September 2010.

New member auditions unchanged at 23 March. First rehearsal unchanged at 6
April. See you all soon!

Interest in "Guys and Dolls" is hotter than a Hot Box dancer as we approach
our club auditions on 23 March! Club Secretary, Lisa Dutch reports that
she has had around SEVENTY (that's seven - zero) emails to our
dedicated audition email address "jointheatreguildglasgow@yahoo.co.uk"!!

"Crikey!", exclaims Lisa, "if everyone turns up ..." ! We'll be very happy
indeed (I think was the intended end to her sentence)!!

With interest high among past and current members to return for, what
promises top be, a very special 50th Anniversary production we recommend
that all prospective new members ensure that they attend the audition on 23
March to claim their place!
